    • I am a celebrant and officiant. I am not, and do not act as, a registrar. Any ceremony I conduct is symbolic or ceremonial in nature and does not create a legally recognised marriage.

    • In England and Wales, a legal marriage must be arranged separately through the local Register Office with an authorised registrar or religious officiant. Clients are solely responsible for ensuring all statutory formalities are met, including obtaining and registering the marriage schedule or licence.

    • In Scotland or Northern Ireland, requirements may differ. It is the responsibility of the client or clients to confirm and comply with all jurisdiction-specific legal obligations.

    • For ceremonies held outside the United Kingdom, clients are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with the legal requirements of the relevant country or jurisdiction.

  2. Naming Ceremonies and Vow Renewals

    • These ceremonies are symbolic only and carry no legal effect.

    • The structure and content of each ceremony may vary depending on personal, cultural, or spiritual preferences. Where religious or traditional elements are important, clients are encouraged to seek appropriate advice from a relevant authority.

  3. Funeral Services

    • Any information provided regarding funeral arrangements or legal obligations is for general guidance only.

    • Clients should seek advice from a licensed funeral director, the relevant local authority, or a qualified legal professional to ensure all statutory requirements are properly fulfilled.

    • No responsibility is accepted for decisions or actions taken based on information provided on this website.

  4. Public Speaking Events and Officiating

    • Services provided in the form of public speaking or officiating are ceremonial, symbolic, and celebratory in nature.

    • Such services do not carry legal standing and should not be treated as a substitute for statutory procedures where these are required by law.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

  1. Deposit

    • To confirm your booking, a deposit of twenty per cent (20%) of the total fee is required.

    • This deposit covers initial administration, preparation, and the securing of your date, and is therefore strictly non-refundable under any circumstances.

  2. Remaining Balance

    • The balance of the fee (after deduction of the deposit) must be paid by the date specified in your individual booking agreement.

    • Failure to make payment by the agreed date may result in cancellation of the booking, without refund of the deposit.

  3. Refunds

    • Refund eligibility for payments made beyond the non-refundable deposit may vary depending on the package or service booked. Specific terms will be set out in your booking agreement.

    • Any request for a refund must be made in writing. Where refunds are applicable, they will be processed within a reasonable time frame, minus any unrecoverable costs already incurred.

  4. Cancellations by the Client

    • If you cancel your booking, the deposit will not be refunded.

    • Depending on the timing of the cancellation and the package booked, you may be liable for a proportion of the remaining balance as outlined in your booking agreement.

  5. Cancellations by the Celebrant

    • In the unlikely event that the celebrant must cancel your booking, all monies paid, including the deposit, will be refunded in full.

    • Where possible, assistance will be provided to help you find a suitable alternative celebrant.

  6. Variations Between Packages

    • Please note that refund and cancellation conditions may differ between packages and service types. Clients should review their individual booking agreement carefully for specific terms.
